About me
Simon Jacobsson received his Master's degree in physics at Chalmers University of Technology. Currently, he is a doctoral student at KU Leuven. His research is a joint project between the numerical analysis group at the KU Leuven computer science department and the geometry group at the KU Leuven mathematics department. Specifically, Simon is interested in approximating functions that map into manifolds, and how the geometry of those manifolds affect how well such functions can be approximated. He also studies the geometry of certain tensor manifolds where the tensor rank is restricted.
