Bio: Roberto Cominetti graduated as Mathematical Engineer from Universidad de Chile in 1986 and received a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Université Blaise Pascal (France) in 1989. After graduating he developed his career at the Universidad de Chile, before moving in 2015 to Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and recently to Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2024. His main research interests are in convex optimization, algorithmic game theory, fixed point iterations, Markov decision processes, as well as equilibrium and dynamics in transportation networks. He has published over 70 papers and has been invited as plenary speaker at several large international conferences in applied mathematics and optimization.
