About me
I am a Researcher and Lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto. I specialize in optimal control theory and its applications to engineering challenges.
I have over 10 years of research experience focusing on computational methods, bi-level optimization, nonsmooth analysis, wind energy, and smart agriculture. I also have over 5 years of teaching experience in mathematics and statistics to undergraduate and postgraduate students across European universities.
I possess a proven track record in leading R&D projects, defining new research opportunities, and supervising postgraduate students. I also have extensive international collaborations with leading academic and research institutions in Europe, the USA, and beyond. I published 22+ scientific articles (including in Q1 journals) and led successful grant applications across multiple funding programs.
